A brand with national values

Beginnings

When Ernesto Bustos decided to establish his online clothing store, he did so inspired by Nicaragua. Gofio is named after an element of our culinary culture. The clothing brand uses cultural and traditional elements and is presented under a contemporary design proposal.

Ernesto says that when his brand emerged, in 2012, there was no other brand that rescued “those nationalist and cultural elements of the Nicaraguan identity. Our designs contain mischief and humor.” The products are aimed at an audience of 16- to 43-year-old women and men with sizes from S to XXL. Their brand is part of the Pinoleras network.

Although its flagship product is T-shirts, Ernesto Busto plans to extend his offerings to handbags, waist bags, sweatshirts and other products that can be purchased at three locations in the country: The Garden Café (Granada), El Hogar del Empredimiento (Managua) and Rancho Santana (Rivas).
